Have you seen this Naughty or Nice Jelly Bean game?
We picked this up for the kids because it reminded me a bit of Harry Potter’s Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. It’s a wonderfully horrible game. You never know what you’re going to get. The moment you see the beans, an internal battle of excitement and dread begins.
It could be a pure mouth-watering pleasure or a disgusting terror!
As I watched the kids play and then invite their friends to play with them, I realized that for some people Xmas can mean different things to different people…
Finding your Christmas spirit is like playing a game of Bean Boozled Jelly Beans…
You can decide it’s too horrible to play and avoid it all costs. Bah humbug
You’re willing to play at least once. You’re hopeful until you get a soul crushing jelly bean. It was a terrible experience and left a bad memory in your mouth. Better not chance another repeat!
You throw yourself into the game. It’s fun or at least doing it with friends and family makes it fun. For some reason you play it again… and again!
We can’t always control what kind of holiday experience we get, but we can make the most of it, find a reason to laugh, and try again.
If you had to describe your Christmas Spirit as a Jelly Bean, what flavor would it be?
