Wiesbaden 2017 Fasching Kinderfest Parade
Living in Germany you can’t help but notice that Fasching is on its way. The question is where to go and what to see. I was advised to find a place near the Rathaus. We left early to get a good spot. We tried to stay warm with friends we ran into and entertained ourselves by looking at everyone’s costumes! There is something else that disappoints me. I really have waited to speak about what’s bothering me. I wanted to give it a chance to tell me I was wrong. To prove to me that it was more…

Why You Should Talk About 9/11
I am grateful that everyone is taking the time to remember this day to honor the sacrifice made on this day. On the anniversary of this day, our communities come together to share the story of where they were when they heard or saw the towers collapsed. Its how we heal. Its how we give ourselves permission to grow. With that said… this is the first year I have not shared where I was or what I was doing. Suffice it to say that I was serving as a Marine at the time and then as a Police Officer afterwards. That is not what this post is about. To get…
