How Bad do YOU suck at Traveling?

Traveling in Europe sucks… If you are a Jerk. Recently I had a friend traveling with me for two weeks.  For two weeks she was a source of amusement.  For two weeks her Americanism was showing… More than that, for two weeks we were jerks. Coming back from our whirlwind adventure I spotted a local community newsletter insisting that we should hide our Americanism by talking in whispers and making an effort to NOT wear our Captain American t-shirts out in public… Oops! It turns out that we were both total failures.  We were jerks. I laughed at the newsletter.  I laughed at myself.  I laughed at my friend.  We had plenty of reasons…

If what you want to share is graphic in nature or is a sensitive issue, please be kind enough to put *GRAPHIC* or *TRIGGER* in the title of your link. What Can You do With this Linkup? You can use it to…

    Word of the Day S.H.I.T.

Last weekish I offered a personal word challenge and invited you to join me.  If you need a reminder of why we are doing a wordy post linkup, please see the original post: Sweet Honey Iced Tea Basically I’m making an effort to learn new words in the hope that it will help to rewire my brain.  If nothing else, by participating we will all have more words to express ourselves.  Which brings us to today! The Linky rules are very simple. You can use the words I share with you or share words you are learning.  At the beginning of each month I will share a collection of words for…

    What does this symbol mean?

Symbols used & Why: The unicorn represents innocence, purity, and healing. The dragon to show the defender & the protector. The phoenix to show that no matter the trial we will rise again. Each symbol was placed in the Sam Saeg-ui Taegeuk. A Korean Yin Yang symbol that represents heaven, earth, and humanity. The Unicorn is positioned in Heaven’s section (normally blue I decided to go with Orange to represent new ideas & freedom from limitations. It is also the color of hope during difficult times by giving us permission to move on. In other words it rejuvenates & inspires adventurers to seek their goals. Plus Brian thinks it looks…

    Sweet Honey Iced Tea

Follow my blog with Bloglovin As part of a personally prescribed therapy I began cursing without reserve two years ago. The other day Honey Bear chuckled after I let loose a rhythmic stream of profanities.  I asked him what was so funny. “If I had a clicker to count how many times you cursed – my hand would get a workout.” I gave him a wry look out of the corner of my eye. “From the girl who never cursed in her life to a girl who curses worse than a sailor – it’s frickin entertaining!” From his point of view I was a goody two-shoes. From my perspective, I had never…

Unfriend me before you eat my brownie

Recently I commented on a friend’s post. Quickly an old friend posted, “Where have you been and why was I unfriended?” I answered her. It’s not the first time someone has asked that. Of me or someone else they found missing from their Facebook. To understand why this has happened, you need to understand which of the four brownies you ate… Eat this brownie if you weren’t the problem. Facebook has trouble figuring out what to put in your feed when you have a large amount of friends. They have admitted to playing testing with your feed.  I had over 1000 “friends” who I had lost contact with. Spring cleaning seemed like…
